Partnering with Elms Interior Design, we remodeled a 4,000 square foot private home at one of Boston’s most prestigious addresses: the Intercontinental. We transformed the city-centric residence into a family-friendly home without sacrificing elegance and style. The home includes the most contemporary design elements, high-end appliances, beautiful millwork detail, a comprehensive home automation system, and more.

Luxury and efficiency were hugely important themes throughout this project. New England Home writes, “In less skillful hands the task may have seemed impossible or, at least, improbable. But, as is clear today from one end of the stylish unit to the other, Elms and Rapczynski have successfully paired luxury and efficiency.” In every room, a high-end feel with highly functional elements and features pervade. For instance, in the master bedroom, the custom millwork not only stores clothing, but also houses a two-drawer refrigerator as well. In the kitchen, the stunning high-gloss lacquer and walnut veneer cabinetry was designed so that all appliances are easily accessible, yet hidden for a clean, modern look. In the living area, you’ll notice a 35-foot custom millwork soffit, which was designed to both house the drapery and also allow, with the touch of a button, for the shades, drapes, and lights to be altered via the home automation system. These are just a few of many incredible project highlights.
