Transitional Kitchen Renovation in Wellesley
This Wellesley kitchen renovation included a complete reworking of the first-floor layout, and much emphasis was placed on improving the movement and flow of the kitchen area. An older home, the original layout didn’t meet the needs of the modern-day family that was living here; indeed, our clients sought a more open and lively kitchen that allowed their whole family to gather comfortably each and every day.
To help them achieve this goal, we chose two separate islands instead of one long one, which allowed the movement and flow of the space to feel more open as opposed to being dictated by one large piece. Since functionality was so important to these clients (and for any modern family home), we knew the use of space played an integral part to the renovation – and a series of strategic design choices helped us bring that objective to stunning life.
